Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1
The name of this association: Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA for short).
Article 2
This association is found in accordance with Regulation on Registration and Administration of Social Organizations and Provisions of Shanghai Municipality on Promoting the Development of Trade Association, composed voluntarily by related new energy enterprises (including solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy, hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology, geothermal energy, ocean energy, new materials of renewable energies & systems and clean energy promotion etc.) and other related organizations. It is a non-profit, inter-department, inter-ownership and industrial social organization implementing industry service and self-discipline management.
Article 3
The aim of this association is to encourage technological and economic information exchange, to strengthen its members’ connections with government and society, to accelerate the progress in upgrading and popularization of technology, to promote industry economy, to provide services to members and to protect their legal rights and interests.
Article 4
The industry service administration of this association is Shanghai Economic Committee; the business administration is Shanghai Municipal Social Service Bureau; the registration administration is Shanghai Administration Bureau of NGOs. This association is also under the supervision and management of Shanghai Economic Committee, Shanghai Municipal Social Service Bureau and Shanghai Administration Bureau of NGOs.

Active region of the association: Shanghai Municipal.
Chapter 2 Task, Service Scope and Principles
Article 6
The tasks of association are as follows:
⑴ Organize market expansion, issue market information, popularize industry products and services, carry out industry training and provide consulting service.
⑵ Establish industry regulations, bring forward suggestions about formulating technology standards towards government and participate in the draft of technology standards.
⑶ Coordinate disputes between members and members, members and non-members, members and customers, coordinate with other industry associations and organizations, participate in collective bargaining on behalf of its own industry, and put forward suggestions and advices.
